The spacious house had all the homely facilities we needed, with 3 extremely comfortable large double bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms/toilets, and a large dining room and country kitchen. The cottage was stylish and full of character, with a coat/boot room and a large enclosed private garden. The area was beautiful for walking and outdoor activities, and we enjoyed the convenience of being within easy walking distance to Barlow village and the lovely Tickled Trout pub/restaurant. The owners provided good, helpful communication and unintrusive support throughout our stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

The bed was comfortable, and the quality of the towels and linen was excellent. Our dog loved the enclosed garden, and we appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. The location was peaceful and quiet, with beautiful walks nearby. The Lakeside Café served delicious food, and the fishing lakes were a highlight for my husband. The host, Joanne, was always helpful and friendly. The little touches, like the chocolate and tea/coffee provided, added a cute touch to our stay. I highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the thermostat and towel rail being on the floor and the kitchen sink being partly blocked, these did not significantly impact our overall experience. these did not detract from the comfort and enjoyment we had during our four-night stay.

The property was bigger than expected, very clean and comfortable. the garden was secure and perfect for our dog. the location was great, with pubs and a dog-friendly cafe nearby. Would be ideal for a small family to relax and have a BBQ in the summer.
The property was undergoing renovations, and we were placed in a noisy link building with a problematic water heater and partially blocked sink. Couldn't access the WiFi and the shower curtain was not ideal.
